Updated Deadline for PromaxBDA Student Challenge

Just got word from Shari at PromaxBDA that the deadline for their Student Challenge competition was moved to next Thursday March 5th.

Since our critique was already rescheduled for next Monday March 2nd, now you have until then to finish, revise, start, sweeten, and make incredible.  If you have already finished your video then you can go ahead and upload it to the site; otherwise you have until Monday's critique to finish.  Directions are below that should make it easier to understand how to upload.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR VIDEOS FROM SHARI:
-Go to our site (www.promaxbda.org) and click the Student Story Challenge flyer/banner
-Click ENTER NOW
-A login screen will appear.  They want to click SIGN UP and then fill in the appropriate fields to create an account
-After they create an account it will take them to a home page where they begin to submit (the fields are self-explanatory at this point)
-Make sure after submitting, that they ADD 1 CREDIT at the bottom (this ensures their work and submission is saved in the system).  This is important.!!!!!!
-Although a few of the buttons say "PAY NOW" and "PAY," they actually do not have to pay.  Their invoice at the end of the submission will read $0.00.  An invoice must be created in our system for each submission.

Questions and Answers regarding the PromaxBDA Challenge

Most common questions regarding the PromaxBDA Student Promo Challenge:

1. QUESTION: IMAGE: In the directions you state " Here's the catch: you cannot place yourself in the actual video."So, If designers want to use a hand moving a mouse around on a computer or typing on a keyboard or writing in a journal or drawing in a sketchbook, then that hand needs to be someone elses hand? They can use someone elses' hand as long as it's not theirs. Correct?
ANSWER: yes, correct.

2. QUESTION: MUSIC:  They should all have permission to use any music or it can be original music. If it is purchase how and when do they provide that to Promax?
ANSWER: upon entry submission they can email miracle@promaxbda.org regarding music. This competition is not being aired on TV, so we don't have to worry about the music this time.

3.QUESTION: DESIGNERS LOGO: Designers wish to put either their names or their logos at the beginning or at the end. Is that advisable?
Can they put a website there as well or do you want to keep it anonymous?
ANSWER: website and or written name is fine. If their logo is their face, not fine.

4.QUESTION: VAGUENESS: Thanks for answering many of the questions already but it appears the instructions are particularly vague so that the designers can work their way around them creatively. Or at least that is the perception of what the instructions are saying without saying it specifically.
ANSWER: We know the instructions are vague, but that's the fun part about this challenge. There is no right or wrong here, just interpretation of the challenge.
